Sign up for Baby Lapsit Story Time with Miss Val & Miss Melody at the Rushville Public Library! Lapsit programs will begin at 10:30 on the first Friday of the month. This program is for children ages 0-3 and their parents or caregivers. Story telling is followed by crafts and a treat! Please call 322-3030 or email us at [email protected] to sign up. This is a great way to introduce your child to a life long love of reading!

Story time will begin again on Friday, December 6 at 4:30 p.m. Please check our Facebook page for upcoming dates, as we close for holidays. Story time is a half hour of stories, simple crafts and a treat. This program is geared toward children ages 4 to 7 years old, however, all are invited to participate. Parents should register their children by calling 322-3030 during library hours or email us at: [email protected].

Summer Reading
IT'S SHOWTIME AT YOUR LIBRARY!!!
The Rushville Public Library’s 2019 summer reading program is called “It's Showtime at Your Library!". Children 3 to 12 years old are invited to participate. The first program will be held on Wednesday, June 19 at 2:00 p.m. The remaining five programs will be held on consecutive Wednesdays through July 24. A couple of the exciting programs that we have booked are the Christmas in July with Hugo Kringle (Santa's BROTHER!) and Wild Times Exotics!! . We will also be enjoying Zumba with Becky Jones. Afterwards, we will cool down with a free snow cone from CJ's Shaved Ice! A Fire & Ice Science Show is also in the works! As usual, we will be having fun crafts and providing reading incentive prizes. Check out previous summer readers on the library’s Facebook page. Family Read Night
The Rushville Public Library will hold Family Read Night Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 3 to 6 p.m. Each child and parent will receive a free paperback book. The children will enjoy a scanvenger hunt/craft and a treat.
Last Chance Book Sale
The Rushville Public Library has a nice selection of books available for sale. Fill a bag with books for a dollar and support children's programming!
